Food is a pleasant thing to think of, but you also gotta eat right as well. There are a lot of bad food combinations that you should be aware of and avoid eating. Vegetable is very good for health, but that does not mean you can combine them with any vegetable. Then, there are beverages and other snacks that you should not eat together. We will look into unhealthy food combinations today, let’s see if you have eaten any of those or not.
1Banana & Milk
This is one of the most popular breakfasts known as a healthy diet for those who want to keep fit. But you should be aware that sweet fruit should not be eaten at the same time with milk. The longer you consume them the weaker your digestion system becomes.
If it is your daily breakfast, try consuming them separately at a different time. Or replace milk with water instead.
2Beer & Nuts
Nuts make awesome snacks, but not with beer. The negative thing about eating nuts is that it makes you feel more thirsty from time to time. On top of that, it also increases the mood of drinking as well. The consequences that this combination gives are over drinking and dehydration.
If possible, try drinking some water or soda to hydrate your body while drinking beer. Peculiar as it sounds, but it helps a lot.
3Dairy Products & Pineapple
Pineapple contains vitamin C that slows down the pace of digestion, especially in the morning. The main thing is there is a substance in pineapple called Bromelain that works against dairy products like milk. Such combination is unhealthy, and it has a great chance of leading to food poison.
Avoid eating and drinking them at the same time is the best thing that you should do.
4Pasta & Minced Meat
Eating pasta and minced meat too often can lead to diabetes and heart diseases, and here is why. Pasta contains flour substances that become regular glucose with the interaction from our body. That glucose will be covered by protein in meat which is harmful to your health.
All you need to do is avoid mixing the two together, but eat them separately instead. Also, eating wheat paste with sauce is a better and healthier way that you should try.
5Potato & Meat
Both of these contain great protein that helps your body, but the mixture might cause a different result. Eating potatoes with meat too often will result in regular burbs, pain in the chest or stomach, and more. If you take a look at the calories, potatoes and meat will put extra weight if you consume them daily.
You might want to replace potato with other vegetables like asparagus, broccoli, or peas.
6Sandwich & Coffee
Sounds like a nice breakfast, but think again. It is true that both sandwich and coffee are easy and fast to make, and they are good for breakfast as well. If you look closely, you might want to have a second thought on that. Sandwich usually contains ingredients like meat, veggies, or cheese sometimes. The glucose or sugar substance in a sandwich is good for health since it maintains good calcium from going to the digestion system. However, that will not happen if you have your sandwich with coffee. Caffeine and glucose in sandwich do not go together; therefore, a healthy breakfast is ruined with a wrong drink choice.
A better solution is to replace it with tea or just water. Does not sound too tasty, but at least it is healthy.
7Tomato & Cucumber
Salad is a very healthy diet since it has a great combination of awesome veggies together on one plate. If possible, avoid combining tomatoes and cucumbers in your salad. The combination of these two can affect the process of food digestion due to the amount of calcium in each veggie. More than that, your body will not be able to absorb the vitamins properly at all with such amount.
What to do is try switching the two veggies at different meal times, or don’t mix them too often.
