1Spring Temple Buddha

Height: 128 meters (420 ft)
Year of Completion: (2002)
Here we have the tallest statue in the world located in the Zhaocun township of Lunshan Country, Henan. It took 9 years to build this depicted Vairocana Buddha, and the time was worth it. The statue is made of copper cast with a total weight of about 1000 tons. The cool part is right beneath the statue is the Buddhist monastery for people to visit.
2Laykyun Setkyar
Where: Myanmar
Height: 115.8 meters (380 ft)
Year of Completion: (2008)
The construction of this began in 1996 and was completed 12 years later on February 21st, 2008. You can find the statue in the village of Khatakan Taung in Myanmar.
3Ushiku Daibutsu
Where: Japan
Height: 110 meters (360 ft)
Year of Completion: (1993)
This Amitabha Buddha is the statue dedicates to the birth of Shinran, the founder of Jodo Shinshu. There is an elevator that takes visitors up to 85 meters to an observation floor. There are 4 floors where you can explore new and awesome things. I believe this is probably the coolest statue you will ever see.

La Estatua de Colon or The Statue of Columbus is to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s first voyage. Made of 2,750 bronze and steel pieces, this statue weighs more than 600 tons. It shows Christopher Columbus controlling the steering wheel across the Atlantic Ocean. The statue also locates in the most beautiful scenery on the coastline of the Atlantic as well, just amazing.
5Emperors Yan & Huang

The statue depicts two of the earliest Chinese emperors, Yan Di and Huang Di. Just so you know, the Chinese worship their emperors like gods due to the great leadership of the country. The construction of this statue took 20 years, from 1987 to 2007.
6Sendai Daikannon

Year of Completion: 1991
Known as the tallest statue of a goddess in Japan, Sendai Daikannon was also the world’s tallest statue in 1991. Just like Ushiku Daibutsu, this statue also has an elevator that takes tourists to the top. Statues in Japan are absolutely amazing, and you visit there one day.
7Qianshou Qianyan Guanyin of Weishan

The statue of Thousand Hands and Eyes right here is the 4th tallest statue in China located in Weishan, Hunan. It took about 26 million yuan to complete this statue, and you are looking at the 7th tallest statue in the world.
8Great Buddha of Thailand

Year of Completion: 2008
The Great Buddha of The Big Buddha of Thailand stands 92 meters above the ground. It is made of concrete and painted gold, took 18 years to complete the whole construction.
9Dai Kannon of Kita no Miyako Park
Where: Japan
Height: 88 meters (289 ft)
Year of Completion: (1989)
What I love the most about statues in Japan is they always have elevators for the tourists to visit. This enormous statue right here contains over 20 floors, each of which has unique places and scenes to see. You should add Japan’s tallest statue to your bucket list if you ever travel to this country. The construction of this statue began in 1975 and finished in 1989, and it is located on the island of Hokkaido.
10Grand Buddha at Ling Shan

Year of Completion: 1996
Weighting over 700 tons, this statue locates at the south of Longshan Mountain in China. There are also a few more statues and palaces nearby the statue as well. All of the constructions are incredible.
11Rodina-Mat’ Zovyot!
Where: Russia
Height: 85 meters (279 ft)
Year of Completion: (1967)
With the meaning of The Motherland Calls, this statue commemorates the Battle of Stalingrad. Back in 1967, it was the tallest statue in the world. Today, this statue in Russia is the tallest statue in Europe as well as the world’s tallest statue of a woman.
12Guanyin of Nanshan

Year of Completion: 2005
This is the amazing statue with 3 incredible aspects. This Bodhisattva Guanyin statue has one face that looks to the inland, while the other two faces are facing the South China Sea. This statue is built to represent blessing and protection by Guanyin of Chine and the whole world.
13Leshan Giant Buddha
Where: China
Height: 71 meters (233 ft)
Year of Completion: 803
Speaking of ancient and awesomeness, this statue has it all. “Carved” out of a cliff between the year 713 and 803, this is the largest and tallest stone Buddha statue in the world. The construction of the statue was led by Hai Tong, a Chinese monk. It took 70 years to complete everything due to insufficient funding.
14Rodina-Mat’
Where: Ukraine
Height: 62 meters
Year of Completion: 1981
Located in the capital city of Ukraine, the statue stands upon the museum building as a part of it. The incredible part is the memorial hall of the museum displays marble plaques with carved names of soldiers. Both the museum and the statue are to commemorate the history of Ukraine during World War II. And the name of the statue means “The Motherland Monument”.
15Guerrero Chimalli

Year of Completion: 2014
This is the copper statue known as the monument locates in Chimalhuacán, a city in Mexico. The statue is to represent Aztec warriors as perhaps, the sign of protection to the whole city and country.
